The virtual public meeting will be held on September 6, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Comment submission:Â In developing the U.S. negotiating positions on species proposals and proposed resolutions, decisions, and other agenda items submitted by other Parties, the permanent CITES committees, and the CITES Secretariat for consideration at CoP19, we will consider written information and comments you submit if we receive them by September 21, 2022.

UPDATE 4/26/22: The formal version was just posted in the Federal Register. This details the FWS agenda for the next Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) happening in November 2022. The comment deadline is May 26, 2022. You can submit comments at the link below by clicking the “SUBMIT A FORMAL COMMENT” link in green at the top right of the page.
Species proposals that USFWS/United States will likely submit for consideration:
Birds
1. *Short-tailed albatross (Phoebastria albatrus)—Transfer from Appendix I to Appendix II
2. *Aleutian cackling goose (Branta hutchinsii leucopareia)—Transfer from Appendix I to Appendix II
Reptiles
3. *Puerto Rico boa (Epicrates inornatus)—Transfer from Appendix I to Appendix II
