New Jersey Senate Bill 1029 has been pref-filed for 2025. It establishes the NJ Invasive Species Council. The Council would be tasked with developing a list of regulated invasive species that are subject to permitting requirements. Those species would be banned from sale, distribution, import, export, or propagation without a permit from the Department of Agriculture.
