The United States Fish and Wildlife Service will list the Pearl River map turtle (Graptemys pearlensis) listed as threatened under ESA.
The below species will be listed as threatened due to “similarity of appearance.”
Alabama map turtle (Graptemys pulchra), Barbour’s map turtle (Graptemys barbouri), Escambia map turtle (Graptemys ernsti), and Pascagoula map turtle (Graptemys gibbonsi)
Effective on 8/11/24. It will be posted in the Federal Register on 7/12/24.
