2017 Maine SP 91

Location: Maine.

A bill to amend the current Maine regulation requiring permits for “exotic wildlife” (meaning all non-native species) imported into the state. The bill would “require exotic wildlife permitted under this section to carry or be embedded with a device capable of remotely providing global positioning coordinates or other mapping or location information.” It would also require a notice of an escaped permitted species to be reported to the “Bureau of Warden Service and all landowners within the range of travel.”
