Please remove Reptiles & Tropical Fish from the proposed regulation changes for Los Angeles County. I am a resident/stakeholder of LA County. I appreciate the good intentions of this proposal, but it is quite clear that the county lacks a base level of expertise in regards to fish and reptiles. This proposal has not been well thought out. It was designed for mammals but is being extended arbitrarily to reptiles and tropical fish. The husbandry requirements are completely different and not interchangeable; or reasonable for all animals across the board. It is not unusual for some species of fish or reptiles to have 50+ babies in one breeding cycle that would immediately force people into untenable legal situations. That is just one of many reasons that proposals designed for dogs and cats are not compatible with best industry management practices for reptiles and fish. Keeping reptiles and tropical fish in this proposal is unnecessary and would hurt my family and business. It is not consistent with best practices for these animals. Please remove Reptiles & Tropical Fish from the proposed regulation.
Thank you for your consideration.
